Tier 1 telco and vendors select startups to watch – Innovation Showcase at industry trade shows

Author: Telecom Council Staff

Our member judges including companies like Verizon, HTC, Sprint, Swisscom, BT, Qualcomm, and more, filter hundreds of applications to select the most relevant, interesting technologies to be showcased on the show floor of industry trade shows – these are the companies to watch.

ctia2013innovshowcaseBuilding a young company in this industry can be a long, expensive process.  That is why the Telecom Council has teamed with several major industry tradeshows to highlight young, relevant companies and products and enable them to participate in these major tradeshows with demo space and extra publicity in a conservative way that fits a resource-constrained startup. We also know that established Telecom companies spend a lot of time, energy, and resources looking for these kinds of companies and innovations, so it makes sense to bring them together at major trade shows.

Early-stage companies from any segment of telecom may apply, but only those whose applications are selected by our Service Provider and Investor Forum judges (member list here) as most innovative – those who enable significant technological, commercial, and operational improvements – will be invited to participate.

For CTIA 2013, 20 young companies were chosen to be highlighted in the showcase from 100s of applications by a panel of Telecom Council member judges from Qualcomm, HTC, JT Global, AT&T, Deutsche Telekom, Swisscom, Detecon, Cisco, Sprint, Nextit Ventures, Marvell, HTC, Ericsson, Mayfield Fund, and Tata Consultancy.
